The General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya has declared that 2016 will be the year of the Rods. Speaking after the cross-over program to his congregation at the Prayer City on New Year Day, Dr. Olukoya declares, ” it is the year of the rods.” Dr. Olukoya who reeled out 40 predictions also gave 30 survival strategies for those who want to make headway in their endeavours throughout the year. 
The Nigerian Civil War, also known as the Nigerian–Biafran
War, 6 July 1967 – 15 January 1970, was a political conflict caused by the
attempted secession of the southeastern provinces of Nigeria as the
self-proclaimed Republic of Biafra. The conflict was the result of economic,
ethnic, cultural and religious tensions among the various peoples of Nigeria.
Ghana’s Electoral Commission (EC) has released a statement
clarifying some of the issues that were held in contention after the previous
election in 2012 ahead of next year’s general poll. In a 4-point communiqué signed by the Acting Director of
Public Affairs, Christian Owusu-Parry, the EC revealed that it held fruitful
discussions with the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), a body made up of
representatives of all the political parties in Ghana and other stakeholders.

Region, Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola, has recounted how his father was murdered
on January 15, 1966 during Nigeria's first military coup which resulted in the
